Dr. Prabhjot Singh

Dr. Prabhjot Singh was born and raised in Kitimat, British Columbia. Dr. Singh later moved to Edmonton, Alberta to attend university. He graduated from the University of Alberta where he received a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMSc) degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

While in dental school, Dr. Singh became very interested in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty. To explore his strong interest in this, Dr. Singh completed externships where he was exposed to full-scope oral surgery procedures at Indiana University, University of Kentucky, Oregon Health Sciences University, and University of California San Francisco. Dr. Singh’s original interest in this field of dentistry quickly grew into a passion, which fueled his ambition to develop a career as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

After graduation from dental school, Dr. Singh moved to the U.S., where he completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). A year later, he went on to complete an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UMDNJ. In 2010, Dr. Singh graduated from the four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at UMDNJ. Since then, he has been practicing full scope Oral Surgery in the U.S. and Canada.

At UMDNJ, Dr. Singh received extensive training in all aspects of oral surgery, including extractions, surgical placement of implants, bone grafting and reconstruction surgery, orthognathic surgery, and cosmetic facial surgery. At UMDNJ, Dr. Singh was fortunate to accompany his attending surgeons, Dr. Shahid Aziz and Dr. Vincent Ziccardi, on medical missions to Ecuador and Bangladesh, where their team performed surgical repairs of cleft lips and cleft palates on adults and children in underprivileged communities.

These medical missions imparted Dr. Singh with a deep understanding of the impact that oral and maxillofacial surgery can have on a patient’s life – aesthetically, functionally, and socially.

In addition to his exceptional training, Dr. Singh is board certified and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of the B.C. Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Prabhjot Singh is married to Dr. Vineisha Singh, DMD a General Dentist who also practices in British Columbia. They enjoy traveling, playing tennis, going to the movies, and spending time with friends and family.
